** spoiler alert ** I was enjoying this book right up until the end....then....it ended. Rather abruptly. Seriously? That was the end? Do she and Davey end up together? Does her mom ever come back and find her? Does she return to London? If she does marry Davey do they stay in Todhall or do they go to London? Do they rent Rose Cottage? Then the last sentence; she went in and went to work. What was she working on? The movers had already left so she should have been done with that. What now? Cleaning? I'm half convinced my book must have been short the last 50 pages tying up the storyline. Bah.

UPDATE: Okay, so I finally got hold of another copy of this book and sure enough, mine was missing the last 50+ pages where it wraps up the story. Not only did my copy not have these pages, but it didn't even end at a chapter break, it was in the middle of a chapter. I don't know who was responsible for that little error, but they should be ashamed. Now that I've read the whole thing I can say that I enjoyed it more then my previous review would have indicated. Although the ending did seem a little rushed with everyone showing up at once and explanations flying all over the place without much more story to go with them. But, it was still an enjoyable read. :)

Joanna Farnsworth I think your book really may have been short a few pages. I finished it last night and it answered some of those questions...

Cynthia Flores This is a first Mary Stewart book for me. I agree with you that it felt a little rushed at the end. I enjoyed the book and read it whenever I had a free moment but would have like a little more depth.

Pat That explains the ending in the copy I read and the abrupt ending. Dang.
