The Plains of Passage (Earth's Children, #4)
by Jean M. Auel
This is book #4 in the Children of the Earth series.
Things I like: I like the way they talk - it is formal, courteous and thoughtful.
The way the Earth is revered and respected makes you feel the same.
The cooking descriptions, while not practical for today, definitely make me want to experiment more.
A leisurely read.
Things I don't like: The descriptions of the valleys are getting repetitive.
While each group is different, they aren't unique enough to keep your interest.
The sex scenes are quite graphic and do go one - this could be a plus for a lot of people.
Sometimes you want to scream, "Just say what you think!" as the two major characters keep the same secret for the entire book and they would be on the same page if they just talked.
I don't know if I will read the net book or not -- if so, it will be a while. These books are better spaced out. The reviews I have read of the last one and the character hints in this one tell me to leave it alone while I still like these people.
