At the Bride Hunt Ball (Devine & Friends, #1)

I contemplated really hard on the rating for this book. I liked the premise, the protagonists, and the writing style. I did have problems with some elements, like awkward character responses to situations or personality changes and the execution of the primary conflict of the hero and the heroine.
For a debut novel, it is really good. I sincerely look forward to reading other books by Parker and tracking her maturation. (I have read the second in the series) She is a tongue-in-cheek humorous regency writer with a generous sizzle factor. She reminds me of a Lyndsey Sands meets Julia Quinn writer, a young one.
