Second of the Broken Heart Vampire series. And it was a fun, fluffy read that I enjoyed.

Eva LeRoy, Broken Heart's Librarian, one of the single parents turned vampire by Lorcan O'Halloran in the first book, is our h. Lorcan a four thousand year old vampire, who is now cured of the taint, which caused him to infect 11 people, is our H.

Lorcan is still feeling mighty guilty over killing these people and Eva in particular. Eva meanwhile is discovering a unique talent in herself. She can talk to and influence animals, and people who can turn into animals ie the lycanthropes and others.

As the wraithes and tainted vamps from book #1 haven't gone away, this is a valuable skill, and several bad guys decide that they must have Eva. Lorcan is determined to save her.

I enjoy this series, but can't read them back to back. So I'll be reading the next one when I need a lift.
