it was amazing

Well, this was one of the more disturbing books I can ever remember reading. It actually gave me nightmares, something a book hasn't done to me in a very, very long time. Maybe it's just me...but I don't think so.

Still, I'm glad I read it and would recommend it to anyone who has the stomach for it. What Ishiguro does, the way he measures out and distills his plot so exactly, is just amazing. Even when I felt manipulated, I couldn't help but be in awe of his incredible restraint. I won't go into specifics because knowing what this book is about in advance would totally destroy the experience of reading it. I'll just say that I feel like there are maybe a handful of writers in the world who could put together a story in this way.
