If you are looking for something totally different than Stephanie Plum, then don't read this, because they are very similar. But, this book reminds me of the days when I started reading SP, before they got very repetitive and old and I got tired of waiting for Steph to pick a guy.

The whole magic thing is fun, and Lizzy doesn't have two guys. Yay. The bakery thing is cool too. I laughed out loud sometimes and that is a very good sign.

I. Love. Carl. So does my brother who only reads books with Carl in them

All in all a fun light read that I ejoyed laughing along too.

One question: Does Evanovitch follow some sort of pattern? Girl with disorganized messed life, meets hot men, is confused by feelings for said men, life is a minor disaster and can't seem to meet normal people. Sidekick is funny. In fact everyone is funny.

Not trying to be rude, I'm curious.

And it doesn't really bother me that much. These are funny.
