This is a compilation of columns by Anna Quindlen written at the turn of the century...1999-2003. She writes intelligently about the issues of the day, which of course, includes the 9/11 tragedy as she is a New York. My favorite piece was about alcohol and the fact that it is a drug that isn't treated like one by our society. She is a progressive (trying to avoid the pejorative "liberal") thinker. Her sensibilities are pretty much in line with my own.
