I loved this book- I love Edith Whartons writing, so poignant and so revealing of the era. parts of this book were so frustrating I wanted to cry-to know that Nick and suzy truly fell in love but so many misunderstandings were keeping them apart and forcing them to go their seperate ways. With all the electronic technology we have now this book would not exist today. It tkaes place at a time when letters were months upon arriving. A sweet, old fashioned love story with a bit of insight into high society and it's values.
