What a dark book! But it does paint a picture of what happens when we let Satan in with the little things (a book we shouldn't read, a new friend who isn't such a great influence, etc.). When we let ourselves be torn down little by little, we still let ourselves be torn down.

Wilde is a fantastic writer. The book kept my attention and made me want to keep reading to find out what happens to Dorian Gray. He also writes so well of the sadness that Gray finds himself in; I couldn't help but feel sorry for this man who thinks he's happy and satisfied but is wholly unaware of his level of depravity.
