really liked it
bookshelves: irish, upper-elementary, great-illustrations, large-group, read-aloud, legends

This was a really interesting book I read to my 2nd graders! Though I would suggest the book for 3rd grade+ (as far as them reading it), it's still great to read to the younger grades. The story follows the Irish legend of Finn MacCoul and Cucullin, and of course Finn's wife who saves his life! This would be great to read around St.Patty's Day when children are learning about the Irish/Ireland, and also when you are teaching legends.
