Read from July 28 to 31, 2012 — I own a copy, read count: 1
Well, this is really disappointing.
You see, the cover of the book is a male.
It says.. "A night prince novel".
So, it is about Vlad right?
Because HE IS the Night Prince. Right?
I had always love Vlad.
So I am literally squeeing when I got the book.
So finally, I start this book after reading all the rave reviews and then I got Leila . *blank face*
Chapter 1.. Chapter 2... Chapter 3.. oh.. there he is.. Vlad!
My bad-ass, dark humor hero... and then.. it is switched back to Leila. *scratched head, turn over to cover, looked at the word "A Night Prince Novel" and scratch head again*
So... This is not from Vlad's POV but from an unknown woman's POV who actually has the hots for him?
O-K-A-Y... *read on*
And as I read on.. I felt bored, frustrated and upset.
Leila... met Vlad and "saw" a scene of Vlad and her doing the naughty.
Decided one day, she is going to sleep with him.
Vlad.. decided that she is his.
Erm... Question.. did I miss any sparks or connection here or it is the way how lust work nowadays?
Oh wait. This could be a Vampire thing.
I must have live in a cave all my life.
To be honest, I felt Vlad is pretty fluffy here. Gone all soft, in my opinion.
Hello? Is the real Vlad around?
I don't know this one.
So to summarize, the romance happened too fast for me.
Vlad isn't the same Vlad.
I don't like Leila.
The enemy is so disappointing.
The ending?? It is so OMG anti-climatic.
So yes. Issues. I have lots of it.
And I had used lots of "so" in this review.
