Think and Grow Rich
by Napoleon Hill
by Napoleon Hill
This book is literally one of a kind. First published in, I believe, 1937, the book is Napoleon Hill's second major attempt to create a coherent "philosophy of success." His first being "The Law of Success" which was published in the 20's. His title reveals it all, "Think and Grow Rich," is a book about how to think, in order to grow rich. It is not a book about what to "do" in order to "get rich." It is not a "get rich quick" book by any stretch of the imagination. This is a book which propagates a philosophy, which, if the reader is willing to study it persistently over time, will yield a tremendous understanding of self. It should also be mentioned, that though Napoleon Hill refers to money very often in the book, his definition of "rich" is much higher and broader than simply material "riches." If you study his philosophy as a whole (beyond this one book) this is quite apparent.
