** spoiler alert ** Books about ancient peoples always seem to draw me in. I am not normally a thriller or mystery person but I have been making the attempt to branch out in my reading. I thought the characters were well developed, even the enemy. The connection between modern day and the past, developing ancient stories from the area and morphing them into an actuality in the story was well done. I don't know much about Saudi Arabia but the author really knows the history, the geography, etc. and can really put you there. In the real spots as well as the imagined/made up spots.

I didn't really care for the Epilogue. I understand the necessity of the overall scene, establishing SIGMA will go on but the wedding invitation was not needed. It was obvious they got together, why pound it in. I think that is why I didn't give it four stars. The Epilogue is the real end so it has to be good or it takes away from the whole book.
