really liked it
bookshelves: reference-study, read-2011

Yes, this book is a little cheesy.

On controversial answer choices: "CBEST authors go to great lengths to avoid correct answers that would make anyone upset. (Most people are upset enough about having to take the CBEST!)"

On the order of operations, PEMDAS: "Many students have learned this as 'Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally' (although no one seems to remember the story behind the phrase)."

On geometry: "This title probably made you cringe."

However, I actually found the humor to be a nice touch. It puts the reader at ease and makes the book easier to get through.

But more importantly, this book pretty much covers the exact type of questions that are on the actual exam, which is exactly what a study guide should do.
