Danielle Steel has been one of my favorite authors all the time... Though the book was written 10 yrs before I was born, the story doesn't feel like an old type of story, with the surgical techniques and things described.

The story has a good plot and the tight feeling the reader feels when we know the secret and the hero doesn't and we want to shout it out to help him. The last scene when Nancy goes to break the beads they had buried as a memoir of their promise and sees Mike there already holding it, and their reuniting broke me into tears. A dramatic write, but a good absorber. One of my favorite stories!
