it was amazing
bookshelves: tudors, historical-fiction
Read in January, 2010 — I own a copy

This is the second in the Cousin's War series (the first is The White Queen which I didn't think was that great, too much focus on battles). The Red Qheen is the entertaining story of the very pious, determined, manipulative martyr Margaret Beaufort, who you probably won't like but you'll enjoy reading about (yes, I know, I ended the sentence with a preposition...)! If you're a Philippa Gregory fan, this will not disappoint! If you've never read Gregory, you don't need a strong knowledge of history to enjoy. Her books tend to focus on power struggles and plotting.
