This is one of my favorite books! For some reason, I am enthralled with the Romanov's story: their extreme wealth (sadly, at the cost to millions of Russians), Nicholas's political inexperience and poor leadership, Alexandra's desperation to ease her son's discomfort and save him from danger(he has hemophilia), and Rasputin's control over Alexandra and therefore the country. It really is a haunting tale. A completely captivating book! Hightly recommend it.
