Rachel Caine, you never seise to amaze me with your writing. I love it so much. I didn't really know what to expect with this, as compared to the Morganville series, which is one of my favorites. This was a more adult story that packed the same punch and emotions.

I really didn't expect the story to play out like it did. Bryn was tougher than I would have pegged her, and she dealt with a lot of crap. Pat was one of those I wasn't sure I liked, but warmed up to when he proved his loyalty to me.

It was just an interesting, if sci-fi-esque, story. I loved the take on a zombie story, which was a bit different than most. I'm very intrigued to see where it goes next and what happens to Bryn. She's up there with Claire now, in tough girl attitude. I love her strength. Ugh. Too many series to keep up on!
