I found it difficult to empathise with the characters. Perhaps that is due to the lack of any significant male characters in the novel, and a female reader may have found more of interest. It dissapointed me that Bibrau remained such an irredeemable character, exhibiting little character growth. Viewing the historical events of Christianity's arrival in Greenland and the effect this had on the local's lives was fascinating; however.
