Simple text makes this book accessible for young listeners. Quotes from Cousteau really enhance the book -- so inspiring. Yaccarino's illustrations are bold and VERY colorful. Cousteau developed gear so that he could dive underwater (the Aqualung) and take pictures underwater (if he wanted to do something, he found a way). He seemed to have a deep desire to share his discoveries -- and so his name because almost synonymous with the sea. A great introduction to a truly remarkable person.
