** spoiler alert ** This was one of the most poignant and sweet books I've read in a long time! Set during World War II, this books traces the years Dewey Kerrigan, an extremely intelligent girl with a limp, lives in a top secret location in New Mexico, where her father is helping with "the gadget", a secret device that will supposedly end the war. The characters in this book were incredibly lovable and the entire story was simply phenomenal. This was one of the best books I've read all year!
