Sequel to Relic. Honestly, I didn't like this one as much as Relic; I missed the museum setting (which is what drew me to Relic in the first place)..that said, it was interesting. I found the "mole people" aspect fascinating--I'd never heard of legions of homeless living in Underground New York. The premise is that the "creatures" from Relic have returned and are populating Underground New York and are killing both "mole people" and "regular" New Yorkers. Most of the cast from the first book are back and are called on to help stop the killings. Lots of action and death and explosions and science and shocking discoveries; however, I'm ready for them to move on to something new. Luckily, for me, there are plenty more books in the series.
