Oh, if only we could talk like Elinor and Marianne. So easy to forget that words can having such meaning, such class .. monstrous good! A bit lost on today's texters (e.g., me). But my, what a bizarre world early 19th c. England was. Eck. Your whole life centered around waiting around for a man to ask you to marry him... so bizarre.. can you imagine? I'm glad things have progressed.. ha. ha.

Also - first book read on my Kindle (thanks, Joseph!)... loving the "free" classics.
