This book is beautifully-written. It's the kind of fiction I strive to write. All the characters are intricately connected but in very subtle ways. The story takes place against the backdrop of 1970s NYC, the day that French guy (his name escapes me) walked on a tightrope between the newly-erected World Trade Center towers. The characters feel very real and it's easy to connect with them, although their experiences are very different.
