it was amazing
Read from March 24 to 26, 2011 — I own a copy , read count: 2

I read this entire series between the ages of 11 and 13. At the time, it was the superlative book for me, and an easy choice when I decided to re-read an old favorite during my confinement.

What struck me most on this re-reading is how little I'd remembered the descriptive passages of PEI. I was also surprised, at first, by how much Anne talked. But as I got back into the comfortable rhythms of the book, remembering and looking forward to the occurrences of each chapter, the old charm overtook me. I didn't cry at the end as I had when I was younger, but I appreciated even more the craft that Ms Montgomery put into the work. Definitely a classic.
