This lady knows her subject. She set her novel in a part of Scotland she knows well and it came through in the story. Classic romantic suspense, very well done, cranking up the tension, throwing lots of spanners in the path of a romance that's obviously going to overcome them all. But at what cost?

There were a few parts of the plot that didn't quite gel for me, which prevented me from awarding a five star review. But they didn't prevent my enjoyment of the book and I'll be looking out for more of Toni's stuff. If this lady doesn't go on to be a major force in the sphere of romantic suspense then there's no justice in the world.
