In this latest Lucky Harbor novel Tara Daniels, the Steel Magnolia, along with her sisters are up in arms to get their inn open with a smooth start. There's no doubt about the sexual tension between her and laid-back Ford who happens to easily get under her defenses. To add some more complications, Tara's ex-husband comes to town determined to win her back. With her past making its presence known, she finds her usual controlled ways tested like never before.

I adored this latest installment of the series. I can't even count how many times I smiled and chuckled while I was reading. A lot of laughs can be credited to Tara's sisters, Ford's friends, and town gossip Lucille. I think that's what so great about this book and this series, the fun atmosphere with these characters. They're pure entertainment.

Characters like Tara--uptight and anal-retentive--aren't usually my favorite but her intense interactions with Ford in Simply Irresistible made me quite eager for this book. It turned out pretty great and I ended up liking her, flaws and all. The charming and easy-going Ford balances her out incredibly well. They had a nice push-and-pull going on and a lot of great chemistry. These two were fun but also touching. I genuinely believed their relationship and the feelings for each other. It's such a light, fluffy, feel-good read. Oh, and not to mention HOT. How could I forget that?
