There was quite a bit I did not like about this book. I think I can handle the total bizarreness of the tale, considering the original. And some things that were irking me throughout the book thankfully were addressed more to my liking, but near the end. I think what mostly I did not like was the writing. I thought it was terrible. For many reasons. Some of it made we want to throw up it was so cheesy and blech. The insistent inclusion of French in a make-believe world just never got to me. And some of the writing techniques were jerky and left me confused (or annoyed). I wasn't all together thrilled with the book, nor did I enjoy it a whole lot. But I was intrigued enough to see how the happy ending would come about, and determined to finish the book in this series and this was the 2nd to last to read.
