Whispers of Evil by Stacey Kennedy is the second book in the Watchers series and continues shortly after the first one, A Deadly Whisper, ends. It features Nayeli and Griffin. Nayeli is a wonderful and complex character. She has been institutionalized since she was a little girl. She has lived a life filled with nightmares and no hope so when she is rescue by Griffin and brought to the otherworld she is willing to do whatever it takes to keep from going back to the institution, including taking part in a ceremony that will bond her forever to Griffin.

Whispers of Evil is a very interesting and compelling story. It is erotic, action packed and romantic. My only complaint is that it wasn’t long enough. I would have liked to have seen more depth and focus on Nayeli’s struggle with becoming a free and independent person as well as on the development of her relationship with Griffin. Nayeli comes from such a horrible background and it seems as if she comes to terms with everything a little two simply and smoothly. For its length it is wonderfully done but it could have been even better had it been longer in order to develop the story and the relationship more completely. All in all, Whispers of Evil is a great book that will entertain you and delight you with its fantastical world and wonderful characters. It is highly recommended for fans of Fantasy Romance.
