This is the second Jack Reacher novel I've read. Still good, and fun. The action was exciting, even though this book didn't have anything that stuck out for me the way the rainstorm scene in Killing Floor did. The biggest change- there's a strong female character in this one, who rescues Jack a few times, rather than just needing rescuing. And when she does need rescuing, it's for reasons that have nothing to do with her lack of competency. The female characters in Killing Floor were the weakest part I felt, and this is a good step in the right direction. Though, it should be noted that she was the ONLY female character aside from a group of faceless and nameless militia wives. All the supporting characters and villains are men. But it's progress?

Onward to book 3!
