bookshelves: anarchism, fiction, mexico, mythology, noir, postmodernism, sci-fi, western, secession, burroughsian

The 2nd volume in Burroughs' second trilogy is a western of sorts, or at least makes use of the genre for his own subversive purposes. Once again, the purpose is liberation from all addiction and illusion, which is no mean feat. The protagonist, Kim Carsons, is going to have to shoot his way out.
