Read from March 22 to 31, 2011

3.5

this was one of those books that I LOVED reading while I was reading it, but every time I put it down I didn't feel a huge compulsion to rush back to it.

I loved the prose which was occasionally literary (love seeing literary in crime fic)

I loved the narration which had a sense of humour that appealed to me.

Characters were fab and interesting and the setting was brilliantly done ~ Ireland (one of my fave aspects)

I was also intrigued about the whole murder investigation and the past disappearances (well, who wouldn't be?)

Ahh, I would have liked to see the key plot points/investigation move along a teeny bit faster. Often felt impatient despite still being entertained.

I'll read more of Tana French when I'm in the mood for crime. She rates on my list :D

Nomes Thanks Misha :) I am going camping tomorrow and taking it with me :) (maybe not the best choice for going camping in the bush, haha)

~Tina~ Oh no, it sounds to scary and the chicken shitness in me comes shinning through for this particular read, but I'm looking forward to your review. If it turns out to be paranorm I might read it, if it's something else then I probably wont;p hehe

Nomes i haven't left yet so maybe i can still manage to squish the freezer in the boot and take it with us? heheheheh

I know what you mean; I've felt like that a hundred times^^

Nomes It's such a weird feeling, hey. I don't get why it happens. If I'm loving something when I'm reading it you'd think I'd want to get back to it asap... weird.

nice to know you get the feeling :)

Nic I love books set in other beautiful locations like Ireland. Great review :)
