Dangerous Visions
by Harlan Ellison
by Harlan Ellison
What astounded me about this book was how current some of the stories seem today, despite being written almost 40 years ago. OF course, some seemed a little too self-indulgent (Riders of the Purple Wage especially), but the simpler ones with a nice little punch seemed to be the best of the bunch. Very much worth the time it took to get through it, although I think the introductions and the afterwards are going to be skipped on subsequent readings.
