it was amazing
bookshelves: human-observation, british
Read in January, 1999

The only other Maeve Binchy book I enjoyed besides Circle of Friends. What makes this book so different is the way she develops the characters and plot. The first few chapters are about the main character. Then we learn about the next main character, ending with their meeting. Then we learn about a supporting character and see them all meet up. And so on and so forth, until it becomes this wonderful web. Great ending as well.

I love Binchy's sense of storytelling.
