I had to stop reading this book. I tried to finish it, but I just couldn’t. For one thing, there was a major lack of commas. Commas need to be used sometimes, and when they are left out it makes for a very difficult read. I also found this book to be very condescending. If I were an atheist I would have been incredibly offended reading this book. Even as a person who believes in God, I was offended. It seemed to me like Richards was not so much describing his “search for faith in a secular world”, but more trying to convince the reader that God exists. His reasons were not very convincing. I was more frustrated and irritated than anything while reading this book.
