Fascinating mostly for the realism and depth it brings to Biblical stories. I did get bored of the writing style somewhat, but the stories themselves being gripping, I stayed reading. Most people wanting insight into women of the Bible will love this; it goes into great depth regarding why things happened and the likely emotional involvement of the characters, and when you've read the stories themselves quite a bit, this is pretty eye-opening.
