I have looked forward to this story since meeting Vikirnoff back in Dark Destiny...recognising the stoic bravery of this character in holding fast to his honour rather than choosing the darkness of the vampire beast that could rage within.

In this story at least the plethora of hot sex scenes (that frankly are all too much the same old same old no matter how hot they get - Ms. Feehan still the velvet, feminine cores,sheaths flames and conflagration? Really you couldn't come up with some new nouns and adjectives?) doesn't happen until nearly two thirds of the way into the story.

And meet one female - yes she is of course fiercely independant yet again! But Natalya is Dragonseeker, mage and tigress all in one which makes for one kick-ass heroine. I enjoyed the battles and the magick of this story - at least with some new villians in the frey makes for a more interesting storyline.
