really liked it
bookshelves: young-adult
Read from March 19 to 22, 2011

I listened to this in the car on a family trip and I think my husband was annoyed at how much time I spent laughing out loud. I continue to love Louise Rennison's books, especially audio versions, and the author herself narrated this one, which was different, but I loved it still.

I pray that I was never this kind of teenager, and that my friends with daughters never have to go through these things, but at the same time I appreciate how clean these books really are. There is no sex, even for the characters who've had steady boy friends for a while, and there are no drugs. Georgia and her friends are simply snarky, disrespectful, moody, and slightly sheltered teenage girls. And I guess that's what makes it funny.
