What I love about YA novels is that they grab you from the beginning and don't let go until the end. This book was no exception. It made me question my point of view the whole way through and really made me wonder how far I would go to protect the people I love.

This is a romance story intertwined with an ongoing investigation into an alleged rape. Whilst I want to say I enjoyed the book, it would be the wrong word because is it possible to actually enjoy a book that deals with such a sensitive subject? Anyway, I think the author handled it well and managed to put the thoughts, emotions, feelings and everything else that goes with it across without going into graphic detail.

The main characters were really well developed and I thought Mikey, in particular, was a character that I really grew to like. Whilst I didn't agree with everything he thought and did, it was blatantly obvious how much he cared about his family, especially his youngest sister Holly. Reading about his interactions with her really touched my heart as often in books we don't get to see this side of male characters.

The plot was fast moving and I read it in two sittings. It didn't affect me as much as her previous book, Before I Die, but nonetheless it was a gripping read and I was hooked all the way through.,
