There is a great introduction to this book stating whats good and not so good, but the author Reginald Snell shows that much can be taken from Schiller's philosophical treatise if we apply it to bettering oursleves. It can be a tough read at times and i was motivated to read it because Beethoven owned a copy and was influenced by it. I also believe that we can arrive at a state which deepens our understanding of art, literature and music and that it can transform our being to a truer reflection of ourselves.
