I tried. I really did try. But I couldn't get past like, 5 stories. The writing style, the language used, they're pretty oldish and very slow for me. Perhaps in the sense it was very literaturish but it just wasn't for me. I was only reading it because I had a sudden urge to read Rip Van Winkle's story again. It was nice reading the original (relative term here) version of the story, but otherwise, school and other commitments would not allow me to finish this book. Not with my lack of interest in it. I would have liked to read the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, though.
