Rob Smith A good story that is pretty predictable, though well written. Another contemporary novel that could've been edited severely and made a better story. The perspective is from a female angle of the spy world. Very domestic and little action. This story mostly lays out previous action events by way of a third party. Not that the book needs to be laden with bodies being blown to bits. he intent is to give the story of a wife in a marriage with someone she's not so sure about anymore. The book has it's best parts when the wife interacts with her son. The son is so well written, I should think Taylor Smith should consider doing books just about him. I am also pleased that the author didn't pour her political beliefs in the book, whatever they may be. I worry now when reading a new author that I may find myself in the midst of some heavy handed idealist that wants to turn political ideas into a book. Ms. Smith does not do that. Coming away from the book, I have no idea what her political beliefs are. That, along, gets a gold star from me.
