I loved the fact that you get to hear Adam's side. He was such an important part of Mia's life and so constant after her accident. It was important to hear and see what happened to him. Unlike in other novels, he was not a minor character. He was too important to be considered that and I am glad that Gayle decided to tell his side. His life continued and what a life he has! It is the life he wanted but not even close to what he wanted. It also shows another side to the "rock star life". Again, Gayle's writing is smooth and I knew I had to find out what each new chapter would bring. Beginning each section with a quote from a "Shooting Star" song help to bring some perspective as well.

Stephanie I read this book when it first came out (and before I was on here!). I loved this book! The voice was pure and consistent throughout the entire book. You truly get a feel for who Mia is and you come to feel her pain, as well as her joys. You can understand why it is such a hard decision on whether to stay or not. The writing flows and you find that you can't put this book down. Gayle Forman has such a wonderful style that it's not so much like reading a book as it is being there and reading a diary as it's written. This story has some heartbreak but it also has triumph.
