it was amazing

I absolutely loved this book!! The plot follows a circus in the 20s-30s era, and the relationships that Jacob develops along the way. It's kind of "Big Fish"-ish with Jacob telling his story as a ninety-something year old man in a nursing home and his flashbacks as he sees a circus setting up across the street. Whether it's your type of book or not, it's wonderfully written and tells a great story. I wasn't really drawn to it on my own, but a friend recommended it to me. When I saw that it had been made into a movie, that sealed the deal as far as getting me to read it. Based on the previews, I'm really afraid the movie may be disappointing ... But that won't stop me from going to see it! It's not a long book, and after all of the YA lit I've been reading lately, it really was a breath of fresh air in regards to style and tone.
