I really liked reading about all the marine life that glowed, floated and sang as the main characters dived and maneuvered their subs hundreds of feet below the ocean's surface. It was quite peaceful at times... until the sharks and Outlaws appeared. Aaahhhh! Then, boy did things ever perk up. I LOVED that. The book started and ended with suspense. It was fun! The ending was great and could lead nicely into a sequel if the author was so inclined. There were a few body part scenes that might raise the eyebrows of younger teens (or perhaps just their parents. Ha ha ha.) Nothing a 14 year old hasn’t already seen on TV.
It interests me to read about living under water, but I am not so sure I could do it myself. Those that might try either under the sea or in outer space are pretty brave pioneers. As for me, I like the good ol’ fashion O2 air securely around me.
