This is the second book of essays by Chabon I've read, and I think I may prefer his non-fiction to his fiction. This book isn't as much about parenting as I feared it would be, but there is a fair share of that, and the rest of the essays don't have as much to do with an overarching theme as the subtitle would lead one to believe, but that's fine.
