Snømannen (Harry Hole, #7)
by Jo Nesbø
by Jo Nesbø
I found this book riviting but at the same time, I find all kinds of flaws in the story and I am really bothered by them. I think Nesbo could do a lot better. When there is what appears to be a suicide and someone calls the lead investigator to say that the dead person just recently requested a lethal drug and it turns out that the drug in question is indeed what killed him, but that it would have been impossible for the dead person to have injected himself, why would you not go back to the caller and ask more questions. Then when the investigator's on again off again lover finds a note in her car, (just after sleeping with him,) saying something like "we are all going to die, whore" she just tosses the note and never mentions it to anyone even though there have been several recent murders of women. She does not even think to mention it to the lead investigator with whom she is having sex. No way! Also I guess Norwegians hate the USA because in several of Nesbo's books he injects little digs to the US. Absolutely irrelevant to the story, just tucked in here and there for no reason whatsoever.
