really liked it
bookshelves: angels, young-adult

This concept of this story is that Angels have "procreated" with humans and created a part angel being who has special strengths and powers, and who each have a special purpose on earth, a purpose that will reveal itself through a vision (or through parts of a vision that become clearer the closer the date of the purpose becomes). These powers don't start to reveal themselves until about 16 years of age. Clara Gardner has recently found out that she is part angel, and she starts to have a vision of a forest fire that she can see and feel and almost taste. In that vision Clara see's a boy about her own age trapped in the fire. It's apparently going to be Clara's purpose to save that boy from that fire. Perhaps because of Clara's visions, her and her family (mom and brother)move from California to Jackson Montana. After the move we get to see some of Claras powers start to appear and there's some wonderful imagery as Clara learns she can, and how to, fly.
