This is not a book about Josephine Tey, Detective, but rather about murder happening close to her. Most of the detecting is done by her good friend the policeman.

I struggled to get in to this novel, especially during a sequence of head-hopping early on, where we are taken briefly through the pov of each of the main cast members. This settled down and I became more engrossed during the resolution, but never really compelled by characters or plot. Readable, but I won't be continuing with the series.
