I recently re-read this novel for a book club. What a great book! It is a total tear-jerker, but the emotional investment is well worth it. Through Enzo's eyes, you grow to love Denny and Zoe, and you can't help but ponder about your life, and how 'your car goes where your eyes go. -- Lindsay A.

Nearing the end of Enzo's dog life, Enzo recalls his past with the family he has grown up with and all the experiences he has had with Denny Swift, his master, including death, evil, pain. In between and despite all of that, Enzo finds that there is still good in the world and looks forward to his next life, as a human. A story that only a dog could tell.
